About the Founder
Equestrian Lifestyle Guide was created by Cherie Cross, a lifelong horsewoman and Northern California REALTOR® (CA DRE #02083861) with Vista Sotheby’s International Realty. Raised in Marin County as a backyard rider, Cherie has spent her life immersed in the equestrian world — from showing and training to understanding the unique needs of horse properties and the communities built around them.
Her years traveling across the West Coast, exploring barns, trails, and rural landscapes, shaped a deep appreciation for the equestrian lifestyle and the places where it thrives. Cherie created ELG as a curated resource for riders, horse owners, and lifestyle seekers who want to explore regions where horses are truly part of daily life.
While ELG itself is not a real estate brokerage, Cherie offers guidance and can personally introduce visitors to licensed real estate professionals across the country — or work directly with clients within her own region.
This guide reflects her passion for horses, her knowledge of equestrian communities, and her belief that the ideal horse property is one that supports both your lifestyle and the comfort of your horses.
